Why?
Prior to the formation of the Woodmore Schools Foundation, CAGE (Community Achieving Goals for Extracurricular) existed to support programs of Woodmore Local Schools. When CAGE dissolved, it was recognized that Woodmore continued to need a long term and sustainable way to support students beyond traditional funding. WSF was able to build on the leadership, credibility and financial base of CAGE.
Official Beginning
On February 28, 2024, the Woodmore Schools Foundation was officially incorporated as a nonprofit organization. The foundation was shaped by many dedicated voices – community members, alumni and leaders who helped guide the early vision.
“It creates a central place where people’s passion for Woodmore can be translated into impact for our students.” – Chad Bringman
